Why do we dream when we sleep? let’s be clear. Dreaming is a kind of unconscious thought. In dream there is neither grammar, nor syntax, nor time, nor sensory space, nor mathematical logic, but there are free-floating connections. When we SLEEP, we have more real-time to think.
Fantasize and represent what we have not put in place in ourselves. Events, maybe of the previous day even of little importance or greatest gravity. The files of our mind seek an order, something to be filed. So let’s try to digest them, to metabolize them and arrange them.
Dreaming according to a certain technique that merges the episodes, moves in people the characters that appear in the various dream. The purpose of dreaming is to confirm our deep and intimate identity. Find the balance and sense of what has a little surprised or amazed us, upset and frightened, pains us or makes us happy, and so on.
Why do we dream when we sleep
All human beings dream because we always think, our brain is always active. This means that in the rhythm of 24 hours we dream at intervals even when we are awake, while we take care of other, but the quality is very different. In the classic psychoanalytic treatment, the sign is not so much for narration of the events that happened to us, as for a diary of the day.
It is possible that a certain event is an example to offer the tone of one’s emotions to the person. It encourages us to express free thinking, unbridled by real contexts, the so-called daydream. What we think during the day or days past. The contexts of the two dream are obviously very different:
The order of the night and the order of the day to distinguish the two types of thought characterized by a kind of free of rules (the night), that instead distinguish the logic and vigilance of the order of the day. During sleep there is a hypnagogic state of falling asleep (visible at the EEG), this characterizes the first stage.
Non-REM phase and Synchronic phase
There follow three others called synchronic and finally the Non-REM stage (rapid eye movement) defined as desynchronic and paroxysmal. The contents of dreams is the most lucid. During this period the muscular tone of the body is almost reduced to zero.
It is not true that in the dream every person experienced only ANXIETIES. Dreams are the concrete proof of the Ego, the protagonist who directs our life. The central nervous system presides over a good part of our movements and actions, dialogues with some internal interlocutors.
The internal interlocutors are characters who correspond to the main emotions we feel in ourselves. We have proof of this in psychotic, when at certain times they speak and act. Dominated by good and bad characters in spite of the Ego that cannot keep under control.
Why do we dream when we sleep and why we speaking alone. Normal people often speak alone in silence or even loudly. They agree or assert themselves in front of the inner interlocutors who derive from the past. It looks like a theatre. Dreams concern the neuropsychological world and the intrapsychic world.
For intrapsychic world we refer to internal interlocutors, to characters who dramatize the scene. If the characters derived from the past, sadistic, persecutory, guilty and shameful, and the internal voices that speak to us prevail above our inner self, the self suffers and falls ill.
Vice versa, it happens when the characters who trust us are either able to raise our SELF-ESTEEM and sometimes even the sense of trust that is more difficult to reach. Interpret dreams only within a specific context. It is also important to have a relationship with the doctor, that is the subject of deep communication.
In fact, the psychoanalyst intercepts one by one the deep characters who deserve to be understood and studied. Favoring so resolution of conflicting and unresolved relationships.
We are the directors
During our dreams we are the directors. We can invent a character as does a director or writer. This allows us to hide a real character and to turn it into a more pleasant. You invent characters as well as you invent comics. Remembering dreams can help us to better understand each other.
Beware, often interpreting them on our own can deceive us, suggesting misleading meanings. The nightmare can come from many reasons: difficult digestion, unresolved anxiety about events, affective, fears that emerge activated by unfortunate and frustrating circumstances.
Some hypnoinducents, help to sleep in certain circumstances of anxiety and insomnia, but they’re addicting. After the age of forty is highly recommended melatonin to regularize the hormonal rhythms and also sleep. Tryptophan and rodhiola at any age.
